SpaceX Starship Flight 4 Receives Launch License

Successful Static Fire Tests and FAA Approval

SpaceX has secured a commercial launch license from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the fourth test flight of its colossal Starship rocket. Following the successful static fire tests of both the Starship and booster, the vehicles are undergoing final preparations ahead of the scheduled launch at 8 am EDT (1200 GMT) on the 20th of January from SpaceX's Starbase test site near Boca Chica, Texas.

Preparations for Launch

The upcoming test flight is a crucial step in the development of Starship, a fully reusable spacecraft designed to carry both crew and cargo for missions to the Moon and Mars. Preparations at Starbase are in full swing, with the Starship and its Super Heavy booster currently undergoing propellant loading and final inspections.

Significance of the Test Flight

This will be the fourth test flight in SpaceX's program to make Starship operational and pave the way for its eventual journey to Mars. The successful completion of this test will provide valuable data and insights into the rocket's performance, as well as its suitability for future human spaceflight missions.
