2021 State of Origin Series
New South Wales Rugby League
The 2021 State of Origin series was the 40th annual best-of-three series between the Queensland and New South Wales. New South Wales Rugby League respects and honours the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
The New South Wales team for Game 1 of the 2021 State of Origin series has been confirmed. The Blues will be led by captain Boyd Cordner, who will be playing his first Origin game since 2019. Cordner will be joined in the team by a number of other experienced players, including Tom Trbojevic, James Tedesco, and Latrell Mitchell. The Blues will also be looking to some new faces to make an impact in this year's series, including Jarome Luai and Stephen Crichton.
The Blues will be hoping to start the series with a win in front of their home crowd at Stadium Australia. The Maroons will be looking to spoil the party and take an early lead in the series. The first game of the series will be played on Wednesday, June 9th at 8:10pm AEST.

The Blues will be looking to make a statement in Game 1 of the 2021 State of Origin series. They will be hoping to start the series with a win and take an early lead in the race for the Origin shield.
